Who Are We?

We are a group of community minded amputees, carers and family. We cover a broad cross section of the community ranging in age, gender, culture, beliefs and backgrounds. We have around 30 members and are continuing looking to increase our numbers.

We were formed in April 2002 as a sub branch of the Amputees and Families Support Group based in Brisbane. This was in response to a need identified within the Toowoomba and surrounding communities. Our past President and founder Geoff Tyrrell believed passionately about the need for such a group and enthusiastically set about making it happen. The support Geoff received at the inaugural meeting more than ever reinforced the need for this group.
